Following a great end of season 3D tournament put on by Yukon Aboriginal Sports Circle (thanks Heidi Bob and all the officials in training) we packed the targets away for the winter. As you know, we lost our shed in July and we are using a tent garage loaned to us by B...

A group of us went up to the range on March 23, 2019 as the weather had been unseasonably warm and we had great hopes for a VERRRY early start. While the woods were bare in most places, the roads were still covered in ice. We figured about two weeks. And then the snow...

September 26 marked our last night on the Grey Mountain Range for the 2018 season. And what a season it was. We moved into our new "shed", built a new shooting porch on the back, and got a pile of new targets. One last thing to do is get our solar panels up, build shel...

It was a drizzly night up on the old Grey Mountain Range but the targets didn't seem to mind. All but the poor old Lynx who was the latest victim of a bear assault. It is probably time we replaced the lynx, don't you think?

Those of you who have hunted for or lost arrows on the course, will be delighted to know we have backstop nets up on the worst of them. the cobra at #5, the deer at C and the ten point buck at M are now covered. If you miss it now, you were waaaay off. Happier shooting...

June 8, 2016

We got our Lotteries Grant and a bunch of new targets have been ordered. As you who shoot on the range know, some of our venerable veterans of the range are becoming very much like blocks of wood. Our compound shooters in particular are having trouble retrieving their...

June 3, 2016

This little bunny at 15 is really tender. Please do not shoot it with your compound set above 50# or with points heavier than 125 gr. At 5m, a 175gr point went right through it. Also, please don't pick on the head and ears. They are coming apart already.
